A Massachusetts motor vehicle power of attorney form is a legal document that enables an agent to act on behalf of the vehicle owner and complete vehicle-related tasks with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. The form requires the names and addresses of the parties involved, along with the vehicle specifications and the principal’s birthdate and social security number.
After completing and signing the required form, the agent is authorized to sign any necessary paperwork related to the authorized acts. This limited power of attorney will expire in two situations – either thirty days from the date of signature or when the vehicle’s registration and/or title is processed at the RMV or by an authorized business partner, whichever comes first.
