A Rhode Island motor vehicle power of attorney lets a vehicle owner delegate responsibilities pertaining to their motor vehicle to a trusted representative, the attorney-in-fact. The principal can let the attorney-in-fact handle various matters for their vehicle, including licensing, titling, registering, and transferring the vehicle.
Please note that you should create separate vehicle POA forms for each car, truck, or other vehicle instead of putting multiple vehicles on one form. You can terminate the agent’s powers by completing a revocation document or establishing a formal end date in the original document.
