An Indiana real estate power of attorney is a legal document that grants an agent the authority to act on behalf of the principal in matters related to real estate. The agent may be authorized to manage, sell, refinish, or close the principal’s property.
To create this document, the principal must carefully provide and review all necessary information, sign it in the presence of a notary public, and acknowledge its execution.
The agent appointed by the principal must be trustworthy and capable of handling the assigned duties. Once signed, a power of attorney remains effective until the principal revokes it or automatically expires under the document’s terms.
