An Ohio real estate power of attorney is a legal form that allows a principal to assign an agent to handle their real estate transactions. This document empowers the agent to undertake various tasks, such as property negotiations, financing arrangements, and attending key events like closings, as per the principal’s directives.
This power of attorney can be either durable or non-durable, depending on the principal’s preference. The power of attorney must be recorded at the County Recorder in the property’s county, as mandated by § 1337.04.
