A North Carolina motor vehicle bill of sale form is a legal document used to show that a vehicle has been legally sold and purchased. It lists information about the buyer, the seller, and the vehicle and acts as proof that ownership of the vehicle has legitimately changed hands.
Under federal law, the Motor Vehicle Division is required to refuse to transfer ownership of a motor vehicle unless the odometer disclosure is completed.
