An Arizona limited power of attorney is a legal document that grants another person (“agent” or “attorney-in-fact”) the authority to act on behalf of the principal for defined purposes or a limited time.
Regardless of the specific powers granted, the agent is legally obligated to act in the principal’s best interests, just as with a standard durable power of attorney. The principal has the option to determine the duration, either by setting a specific end date or allowing it to continue even if they become incapacitated.
