An Arizona minor (child) power of attorney enables parents or legal guardians to grant temporary decision-making authority for their minor child to another trusted individual. This document exclusively addresses guardianship of minor children and does not extend to medical or financial matters.
The duration of this document is limited to six months unless the parent or guardian is an active-duty military member, in which case it can be extended to one year. Regardless of the situation, the parent or guardian has the right to revoke the document at any time by providing written notice.

Signing Requirements: Notary public and one witness (§ 14-5501).
Length of Validity: Six months. If the parent or guardian is an active-duty military member, they can delegate these parental powers for up to one year (§ 14-5104 and § 14-5107).
