A Kansas 3-day notice to quit for non-payment of rent is a written memo used by landlords for tenants who fail to pay rent on time. If the tenancy period is less than three months, the landlord may serve this notice to the tenant for non-payment of rent, and the tenant will then have three days to pay the rent in full.
If the tenant fails to pay within this time, the landlord can initiate the eviction process. For longer tenancy periods, a 10-day notice to quit for non-payment must be issued. The notice must be delivered to the tenant’s residence and handed personally or through certified mail.
