A Montana medical power of attorney is a legal document that allows you to choose someone, known as your agent, to make important healthcare decisions for you if you’re unable to communicate your wishes due to incapacity. Your agent will only be able to make these medical decisions after your doctor determines that you can’t responsibly express what you want. In Montana, this document is also referred to as a durable power of attorney for health care.
