A Georgia real estate power of attorney is a legal instrument granting an agent the authority to manage specific real estate matters on behalf of the principal within the state. The granted powers must comply with the state’s legal requirements and are typically detailed within the document (buying, selling, leasing, or managing real estate assets).
If the agent is appointed as the manager of the principal’s property, they gain the authority to hire subcontractors for property maintenance, lease rental units, and collect rent. The document becomes void either on the termination date specified in the agreement or when revoked by the principal, whichever occurs first.
