A Michigan real estate power of attorney is a legal document that allows someone to act on behalf of another person regarding real estate matters. This type of limited POA only applies to real property transactions, such as buying, selling, managing, or refinancing a property.
The agent appointed by the principal can handle these tasks but cannot act on behalf of the principal in any other affairs. A power of attorney will terminate upon the principal’s death, a signed revocation, or a termination date specified in the document.
