A Vermont real estate power of attorney is a legal document enabling a principal to appoint an agent to manage real estate transactions when they’re absent or unavailable due to travel, sickness, or prior obligations. When a principal elects an agent via this document, the agent can sell, purchase, refinance, or maintain properties according to the principal’s desires.
The principal must sign this document in the presence of a notary and one additional witness other than the notary. The principal can terminate the document on a specific date, let it remain valid until they pass away, or issue a revocation document when they want to end it.
