An Arkansas tax power of attorney form, also recognized as the “Department of Finance and Administration Power of Attorney,” is a legal document that allows an individual, termed the “taxpayer” or “principal,” to designate another person or entity as their representative or “attorney-in-fact” for tax-related matters.
The appointed agent may handle tax filings, respond to inquiries, access taxpayer information, and represent the taxpayer before the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. The taxpayer can specify and limit the representative’s powers within the form, maintaining control over the delegated responsibilities. In cases involving a joint tax return, the signatures of both spouses are required when requesting joint representation.
