A South Carolina tax power of attorney form, or Form SC-2848, is a legal document allowing a representative to act on a taxpayer’s behalf regarding tax-related matters. The taxpayer can enable the representative to exercise any available election under state law, prepare tax returns, and collect refunds.
The taxpayer can choose which tax-related powers to grant the representative and include any specific additions or deletions on the official form. This document will revoke all previously filed tax powers of attorney with the South Carolina Department of Revenue for the same tax matters and years.
