A Minnesota motor vehicle power of attorney form allows a car owner to authorize someone else to handle matters related to their vehicle with the Driver and Vehicle Services Division. This includes registering, licensing, and transferring the title of the car.
The form is often used to allow a licensed car dealer to transfer ownership on behalf of the owner. It is a limited power of attorney and only applies to motor vehicles in the state. The form requires the vehicle’s year, make, model, VIN, odometer reading, and the owner’s and authorized agent’s names and addresses.
