A Utah motor vehicle power of attorney empowers vehicle owners to appoint an attorney-in-fact to handle vehicle-related administrative tasks through the Utah Department of Motor Vehicles. This form lets the vehicle owner limit or broaden the vehicle-related powers they grant.
For example, the vehicle owner can let the agent have authority over storing, maintaining, insuring, registering, or negotiating the terms of sale for their vehicle. Vehicle owners often name car dealerships their agents so the dealerships can finalize title transfers without needing the new owner present.
