An Oklahoma real estate power of attorney is a legal form enabling a property owner (the “principal”) to appoint an “agent” or “attorney-in-fact” to manage real estate affairs. This includes maintaining the property, handling repairs, managing rentals, and conducting transactions like negotiations and closings in the principal’s absence.
For actions like property transfer or mortgage execution, this document must be recorded with the County Clerk (§ 16-20). The form, requiring notarization, grants the agent specific authority and can be revoked by the principal at any time with a written notice.
