A Kansas vehicle bill of sale is proof of the transfer of a vehicle between a buyer and seller.
While not required to register a vehicle, this document can be used if a legal dispute arises regarding the validity of the transfer, as it is proof of both parties’ mutual consent on the purchase price of the vehicle and other matters. Both parties sign the document, and an odometer disclosure statement must be provided.
